Hi all.. it delights me to say that acting gives the constant opportunity to learn and grow. I have just returned from a fab time in London and Amsterdam. Wind Up Banana TV filmed Eggs, the sequel to the long suffering East end Julies’ angst over her dealings with Bill.. This promises to be hilarious..I’ve seen the rushes and they had me in fits… The editing team have said that the edit will be fast paced, highly comical and dynamic. Flikki Kuits’ imput in the latest Beatniks skits has been invaluable.. anyone clued in to the Beatnik culture will not fail to be impressed.

Your Chance to Be on Film!

The Academy is working with Soaring Eagle Productions on a project exploring the changing identity of the North East through the eyes of teenagers growing up in this region.
We are looking for young/new talent to get involved with this exciting film project with the view to entering film festivals and TV networks with our social commentary on teenagers experiences today.

We are looking for performers, writers and technical crew who are locally based.

WindUpBanana shoots No Bread

What a scream, picture this… London, February at a disused theatre… cast a crew freezing their unimaginables off as the theatre has been dark… and yes, unheated for some time!

The crew and I shot some lovely stuff with Frank Scantori, both playing a completely lovable numbskull and Directing (yes at the same time)!

I played the part of the ever patient Julie, bored East London caterer; dealing with the many and numerous (doesn’t that mean the same thing?) ideoscincratic inner workings of the mind (or lack of) which is ‘Bill’.  The result is for the first time we see her actually lose it… those of you who know the characters know that this has been on the cards for some time now!  Can’t wait to see it post pro.. love for now.
