Tudor Farce with RSC Director

// August 2nd, 2008 // performing arts

Hello all, I have just returned from a wonderful short run of A Merry Play of Jon Jon, Tyb his wife and Sir Johnathon The Priest.  This delightfully bawdy Tudor farce written by John Heywood in 1521 has been skilfully adapted by the talented and knowledgeable Neil King.  I was playing Tyb the wife… and I have to say if I see another pie I think I will cry!

The Director Richard Avery of the RSC gave the piece a delightful pace and truly helped to bring out the comic timing.  Other Lives Productions is a lovely company to work, they create a great family atmosphere for the cast and I really look forward to working with them again.
